Budweiser and Brady
THE CONCEPT
The darling of the NHL, our captain, and Sens big brother Brady is now sponsored by Budweiser. Whassup? (also known as Wazzup) was a commercial campaign for Budweiser from 1999 to 2002. The first spot aired during Monday Night Football on December 20, 1999. The ad campaign ran in much of the world and became a pop culture catchphrase, comically slurring “what’s up?”.
Since the Sens are a best-friends first team, with Brady and Josh being best buds since their late teens playing for USNDPT, and Chabby and Mathieu having long friendship since their east coast days with the Sea Dogs, this was a perfect mash up!
