No Wins and No Accountability Make Ian Go Crazy
Since the Sens aren’t giving us much to write home about, let’s take a moment to appreciate the efforts of the person who has to find something worth writing about during this disaster of a season.
Since @theathletichq@senators beat writer Ian Mendes couldn’t seem like a nicer, more even-keeled, and positive guy, I thought it would be funny to depict him losing his mind! The idea originated from his past frustrations over the Sens GM never proclaiming any playoff expectations for the team. A mash-up of Fear and Loathing In Las Vegas meets Homer Simpson’s version of The Shining ensued ( oh, and a lil Carrie Bradshaw reference in there too!). The Shining twins are us, his fans, loving every word he writes. Thank you Ian for your tireless efforts, and for not giving up hope in Ottawa!
